As we know, the idealized age of global peace and spiritual regeneration, so beautifully articulated in the Old Testament era(s)
was never realized during the Old Testament period(s). The Jewish Bible closes with a host of unappeased longings and unfulfilled
prophecies. The prophets envisioned a time, in the future, when the Glory of the Lord would shine forth upon (and from) a
regenerated people, resting securely in their Promised Land - in Israel (Hosea 3:4-5; Jer. 23:5-6; Ezek. 37:24-28; Zech. 8:7-8.)
Israel's "faithful" waited (and await still for that matter) for the renewal of the once-splendid, though short-lived, Davidic Empire -
to later be ruled by Messiah Himself. The prophets knew that in advance of the promised Messianic era the earth's inhabitants
would undergo a series of global upheavals, major wars, etc (Zech. 12:1-14:21; Dan 11:1-45), but that peace would eventually
come when the Prince of Peace arrived. He, the Messiah, would bring about a cessation of global hostilities (Isa. 2:4, for one);
additionally, He would inaugurate a period of global regeneration (Amos 9:13,14; Ezek. 34:26-29) and even a resurrection from the
dead would accompany it (Dan 12:2). In sum, under His administration it was envisioned that the earth would experience a period
of total health and healing (Isa. 33:24; 35:5-6) resulting, of course, in great joy and peace (Isa.51:11).

SJN   ERDZ - 2   Born of the Spirit / The Jewish People / Jewish Messiah / Little Time Left / Final Judgment on Mankind

Every person born of the Spirit of God should be thrilled to see the time when God once again is moving among Jewish people.
This phenomenon was promised by God for the very last days. In a way, Jewish acceptance of their Messiah is a barometer of
how little time mankind has left before God passes final judgment upon the world.
